Rachel Barton Pine Foundation’s Global HeartStrings program has partnered with BLUME Haiti, a nonprofit that facilitates musical education on the island, to provide instruments and basic supplies for students and teachers who don’t have access to what many musicians take for granted as everyday items. Together, Global Heartstrings and BLUME Haiti provide instruments, strings, bows, music stands, rosin, reeds, and method books to Haiti for aspiring musicians.
